This was her baptismal gown. It was the gown that I wore 35 years earlier at my christening. It was made by my paternal grandmother.
We gathered at the church:
Her baptism sponsors are my good friend Kelly and my cousin Keith, who happens to be a minister at another church.
Rev. Vicki Garber presided over the ceremony. When I was first pregnant, they had a bunch of baptisms several Sundays in a row. I of course cried through all of them, being hormonal and emotional. I couldn't believe that finally it was our turn to have a beautiful baptism ceremony.
Proud Grandpa.
Proud Mommie.
Proud Family.
Much Love!
Then we had a party!!!!
I got home from church and took off my shoes. Remember that toe stub? Broke it.
The Wee One got out of her big gown and got ready to party. Or nap, actually.
Lots of friends to celebrate our happy day.
It's hard to believe it's been a year!

Oh, your poor toe! I can't believe you smiled through the whole ceremony. Well, yes, I can. What a wonderful family you have!
