The Conversation

slight awakening
rustling sheets
first in my bed
then in yours

I settle,
you settle,
but now I am awake.
And hot.

I turn over, rustle again
you stir
I drift off.
Now you are awake.
And hot.

You settle,
I settle,
I realize you are again asleep.

I don't dare move.

I have to smile reading this - I have so been there with the dare not move.
