Decisions, Decisions

Love this one.

Have Babylegs that will match this one.

This one just about takes the cake for me, though.

When she gets bigger, this one.

She loves Elmo, but will she understand this one?

This one is just mean.  Dressing a baby like a hot dog.  Funny if it's someone else's baby, tho.

This one is darling.

All these are from the One Step Ahead catalog.  This isn't a PR post, I just got the catalog in the mail and thought these were adorable.  Now, if they wanted to compensate me, by, say, sending me a free costume, we'd like the poodle skirt one in size 12-24 months.  kthxbye.

If anyone has other ideas for cute Halloween costumes for a toddler, I'm shopping!

I LOVE planning Halloween costumes for my boys. It's a challenge because I refuse to do super heroes or anything violent. That includes pirates and military. For boys there's not a lot of other ready-made choices, so I have to put my creative hat on. Thanks for this post--it's got me excited for October.

(For Wee One, I vote for the first. But who are we kidding, she will look adorable in any and all of them!)

Have you looked at Children's Place? They have some ADORABLE ones! I found a monkey one for Braxten there that I LOVE! You should check it out :)

We just picked out Gunne's costume, but it's not available for order yet. He's going to be the Hungry Caterpillar. That is his favorite book of all time. He is OBSESSED with that caterpillar, so even if he doesn't quite understand that he IS the caterpillar, we figure that we're giving him a costume that expresses his interests. Plus, he's going to be the cutest caterpillar EVER. =)

I think the ladybug would look best with her coloring...although the poodle skirt is precious. You really can't go wrong.

Lara - i totally think it's cool that you don't do violent costumes. I went back through the catalog with an eye for "boy" and "nonviolent" and I can see why it's challenging for you to plan costumes to fit that standard. If you haven't looked, though, there are some that fit your criteria (and LOTS that don't!!!)
